The core business of the Ōtaki and Porirua Trusts Board is land-based asset management (including dairy farming and rental properties) of lands in Ōtaki and Porirua vested in the Ōtaki and Porirua Trusts Board by the 1943 Act, and any other lands acquired or leased. The Board also administers an education scholarship programme.
The day to day business of the Board is conducted by a general manager and an office administrator. Other staff and consultants are also engaged to assist in the management and operation of Board assets and affairs.
The Board strives to give expression to kaupapa tuku iho in all its activity. The kaupapa are grounded in manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, whanaungatanga, kotahitanga, wairuatanga, ūkaipōtanga, pūkengatanga, kaitiakitanga, whakapapa and te reo Māori.
The Board office is situated in the hostel building of the Old Native Boys College that is now the location of the campus of Te Wānanga o Raukawa at 144 Tasman Road, Ōtaki.
